On a roll for red lipsticks and to start the first day of work with a little punch, I’ve chosen another bright little number.
Today’s pick is Chanel Rouge Allure in Passion. It was a gift from beetrice a little while ago and I find that I reach for it very frequently. It’s especially handy on days when I’m in a rush because nothing is really as pulled-together as a red lipstick.
The colour is a very “neutral” red that leans a little warm. As much as I love the packaging, I can’t say the same of the formula. It tends to be a little dry and the finishing is matte compared to Tom Ford’s lipstick. Still, it’s a good lipstick to have on hand when all you want is a no-nonsense red.
I do prime my lips with the Carmex lipbalm prior to application. A couple of coats and a bare face, I’m ready to face the world.
The packaging, being Chanel is really luxurious in a very quiet sense. Unlike the conventional pull-top of regular lipstick tubes, the Rouge Allure packaging makes you click onto the base of the lipstick before the tube slides out. The soft muted click really adds that touch of class to an otherwise black and gold packaging.
A curious Labrador hunting for buried treasure. She didn’t know where ‘X’ was, clearly!
So I’ve made it through 2 days out of 31, you’re still with me?

How come I don’t have Chanel Rouge Allure? Hmm… I love the colour and I love how you’re including Coco in your posts
Day 2! Jia You!
Cos generally, you’re not a fan of Chanel lipsticks. Bwahahahah.
Coco fights to be in the pics because she’s a massive nosy-parker!
