When the Revlon Lip Butter took the world by storm, I allowed my teenage rebellious streak to resurface. I refused to be blown away. I refused to sing praises. I sat back and waited for my i-told-you-so moment.
I was lucky my friends love me and refuse to let me do anything as stupid. My i-told-you-so moment never arrived and from the looks of it, it never will!
So, beetrice one day had this dropped in my mailbox and boy, did my mind change!
The name lip Butter is rather apt. It glides on smooth as butter and is sheer. However, don’t expect this to last past your morning coffee. It is definitely not drying nor does it seem to moisturise my lips much.
Macaroon is a colour I can’t seem to wrap my head around. It looks a tad brownish when swatched but on my lip, it goes on a little red. I also can’t seem to wrap my head around the actual name of the colour, Macaron is a type of French dessert and comes in a variety of colours. This is not to be confused with the macaroon which is a light meringue-like dessert. Neither of which is a really a colour if you want to nitpick.
So, do you need this? Yes, just not in every single colour available! Revlon has consistently surprised me with their great range of lipsticks and being a drugstore brand with pocket-friendly, prices, it’s a great little item to be added to one’s lipstick collection.
Yesterday, I wrote of a cool-toned red lipstick by Dior. What do you think of it?

Haha glad to be able to change your mind every now and then!

I’m a big fan of Revlon Lip Butters, and Macaroon looks like the perfect shade! I’m looking to buy it online, but only found it at one website…and they don’t even ship to the US. Guess I gotta keep looking!
I have been looking for it too! But it is no where to be found, especially in Michigan!
Connie, you won’t find it in Michigan, because it’s a UK-only shade. But we may get lucky and find it online someday!
