It is interesting to note that Dior has been consistently revamping their lipsticks although ere is nothing particularly wrong nor bad with the previous version. I am hoping this is due to their strive for perfection.
The colour Cruise is a very natural rose-coloured one which took me by surprise. When I first swiped it on my arm, I decided it was really not me. I returned it to the stand and took a walk around. You know how something gets to you sometimes after a while?
Well, I’m glad I gave Cruise another go because, for a reason, I remembered that your fingertips are actually closest in colour to your natural lip! (I am now trying to imagine you bringing your finger to your lip to compare!) No, I don’t get it either.
But I have been surprised over and over again by how true this is. So, I decided to swipe Cruise on my fingertips and absolutely love the results! Not exactly my lip but better but my lip but a nicer hint of colour. Cruise is rose-based and is a neutral colour that should suit most skin tones.
As with all Dior Addict range of lipsticks, it leans sheer and is very buildable should you want to do a day-to-night look with this. I would pair it with stronger eyes and let the lip complement the eye makeup.
I would say this is quite a staple in my stash and I find myself reaching for it on day’s when I have no idea what to wear. It has not failed on me yet! So, yes, I would suggest you give this a go- tell me what you think of it!
Here’re my thoughts on the pocket-friendly and excellent formula of Revlon’s iconic Lip Butters
