The lipstick I am featuring today is one of an interesting one. It was from one of my previous trips back to Malaysia. I made the n00b mistake of exchanging a little too much RM with Dad and I also didn’t want to bother carting the RM back to Australia. So, I did what any normal human being would do: hit the cosmetics counter to see what I could get for less than RM100. Or, it could also be a lame excuse of mine to want to shop.
It is always curious to note that I always gravitate towards the berry-like colours and this is no different. I remember staring at the row of testers on display and immediately picking this one up. When swatched, it is definitely a cool-toned colour with a fair emount of shimmer. There’s also a hint of blue undertones.
For some reason, this has taken a back seat in recent days. I suppose as I grow older my preference for lip colours change. I’ve sort of moved away from the sheer, not-as-long-lasting colours towards bolder colours that stay on and on without drying my lips out.
The Shiseido Macquillage is a light-weight product which doesn’t last long nor is it drying. One thing that is noteworthy is its ability to impart shimmer on my coffee mug but NOT the colour itself. Interesting, eh?
I wouldn’t advise you to dash out and purchase this because it is not a must-have colour. There are many other lipsticks in the market which can give you similar results that is a lot more friendly to your credit card.
Are we done yet, mum? I’m bored!
