14/31: Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Raspberry

This marks the 2nd week of 31 lip of January! If you’re amazed that I’ve managed to stick it out for this long, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Some of these posts are written from sunny Perth but they will always get published according to AEST.

Well, today has been a harrowing day for both my sister and I. Without going into too much details, I am sitting back with a glass of sparkling and we have both bought something from net-a-porter to redeem our sanity. To counter the insanity of eh day, I am featuring something that is normal, simple and something that’s almost impossible to go wrong.

Revlon has been rather consistent with the quality of lipsticks and this is no different. When I was about to embark on my adventure in red lipsticks, this was one of the earlier ones I dabbled into.

Because of how sheer it was, I had the guts to take a deep breath and purchase it. It swatches on a neutral red that’s comfortable on the lips. Hence, it’s safe to say the colour is a great one because it allows you to control how big a punch of colour you want to pack on. I love it!

The packaging is also worth a mention. Did you notice the quilting on the black tube? The ubiquitous quilting that seems to be everywhere that’s Chanel-esque? It adds a touch of luxe to an otherwise simple and plain packaging of a drugstore lipstick.

So, do you need this? Yep, you do! It’s Revlon and honestly, you can’t go wrong with Revlon lipsticks. With a comfortable formula and a wide range of colours to suit most skin tones plus a pocket-friendly price tag, what’s stopping you?
